Delivery driver/warehouse associate in training

Reliable Staffing is currently seeking a delivery driver/ warehouse associate in training for a possible temp to hire position. While in the training program the trainee will learn to safely operate delivery vehicles, manage routes, and handle cargo under the supervision of a mentor before transitioning to a full-time driver role the trainee will be working in the warehouse helping to pick and pack orders on days that training or deliveries are not available.

Core Responsibilities

• Ride-Along Training: Accompany experienced drivers to learn route navigation, customer service, and delivery procedures.
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks of the vans following Department of Transportation (DOT) rules.
• Loading and Unloading: Secure cargo in the vehicle and unload items safely at customer locations using proper equipment.
• Documentation: Complete delivery logs, check invoices, and report any vehicle maintenance issues or damaged goods.

Job Requirements

• License: A valid state driver’s license or a commercial driver's license is preferred but not required.
• Driving Record: A clean motor vehicle record with no major violations.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to sit or drive for long periods and lift heavy packages (often between 25 to 75 lbs or more).
• Screening: Must be able pass a background check and drug screening.
• Transportation: Must be able to get to and from the job site that is beyond the public transportation schedules.
